White Coat Ceremony

Sterling had his white coat ceremony yesterday. It was very well done, and both of our parents were able to come up and celebrate with us, which was nice. He has done so well, and I am so proud of him!

Waiting in line...

So handsome!

The Rest of the Vacation

We still had a few days left after snowboarding. We visited Williamsburg, went tubing, visited Jamestown, and then headed home.

Snowboarding

So, on Tuesday, we went with Jonathan and Val up to Wintergreen to go snowboarding. Sterling and I, this being my first time and his second, decided to get a lesson (and helmets) before heading down the slopes. I have to say, I ate it a lot more on the snowboard than on the skiis, but it was a good time....and at least I only went under the boundary tape, instead of through it. =)

I wish I had a picture of that girl's face, as Sterling approached her rapidly from behind.

We went down with Jonathan and Val and then stopped for some lunch.

Snow!

The timing couldn't have been better. We arrived to Virginia as the snow began to stick, and were able to get settled in while the snow piled up. Then the fun began!

Yes, it's true. This is my FIRST snowman!

Unfortunately he's a mean one....I was just the helper. There is one knocked down right in front of the snowman....one he trampled, of course. Although I think the quote of the day came from my mom, who was taking pictures through the window. She mouthed, as she pointed to the snowman with a confused and slightly disgusted look on her face, "Is it giving birth?"

Our rooms were perfectly placed overlooking
the golf course. Which for us meant
snow-covered hills. Jonathan and Val kindly donated their
snowboards for sleds and we all had a great time!
