I thought medicine would always be a lucrative career, but I guess we'll always need the "Pumpers" too! Apparently the old tenant here received these insightful magazines, and we recently had the pleasure of gazing over them. Make sure you read all of the article titles, etc. They have such a way with wording. Really, how much more can I say? I hope you enjoy them as much as we did.

So we get this Taste of Home magazine, and I saw some sweet monster cupcakes in there and have been wanting to make them for a couple weeks now. Lucky for Sterling I got to plan date night this week! I figured he wouldn't mind too much if he got to munch on all the yumminess while we decorated. I think he enjoyed himself...as did I! So here are our monsters....I bet you can't tell which ones Sterling did, and which ones I did!

So, I thought I had tons of extra time, because Sterling was studying so much....then I started school. I decided I should take at least 3 classes or I'd be in school...well...forever. Now I'm working full time and doing that! I've been slowly trying to figure out my glass stuff in between. Here's what I've been working on....it's not perfect, but it's getting better!

2 Years!

So, Sterling and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary this past August. We wanted to make our trip to Savannah a tradition, but he had a lot of studying and little time, and well....there's a little tighter budget this year. =) So, we decided to go to St. Augustine. It was pretty hot and humid, but very nice nonetheless! And it just so happened to be- get into national park free day! How nice of them to do that for our anniversary!

As you can see I have updated my blog twice today. Well, I also went bike riding after work, made dinner and cleaned up! I guess that's what happens when med school starts. Today was his first day. He got off at 3 and has been at the kitchen table studying ever since.

Happy Birthday!

Sterling turned 26 on Thursday, July 15th. I started work on the 14th (bummer), so he picked what he wanted for dinner (pizza of course!) and german chocolate cake....mmmmm, so good, and we made it on his birthday. Then Friday his parents came up and his brother came down, and we had dinner and more yummy cake!

I'd like to point out the level of difficulty of blowing out all the candles. On my birthday there were two cakes with 25 candles dispursed among the two (which I thought was quite unfair). Therefore I put 26 candles with a few sticking off the sides to increase the level of difficulty for Sterling. Impressively enough, he got them all! Hope it was a good wish!

This was the delicious cake his parents brought. I was sad because we didn't have 26 candles to put on the cake....so I spelled an applicable word instead.

This is unrelated to his birthday, but he told his boys from Providence that we'd go see them at Youth Conference if they went to scout camp. So, we drove to Youth Conference on Saturday to see them. They were very excited.
