This year we had two Easters, the first with Sterling's family and the second with mine. Christa, Fuller, Melanie (and of course Tyler) came into town and we all went out to a delicious Wendy's dinner on Friday night. I'm pretty sure we accounted for at least half of the people there.....as is displayed by the parking lot photo we took.
Then on Saturday we had egg decorating. Yep, this was a new experience for me! Notice it's not egg dying it's egg decorating. Don't get me wrong, dying was involved, but it was taken to the next level. Each individual brings what he or she needs to decorate his or her egg and share, and then a neighbor is elected to come and judge first through third place. Here are some photos from our egg decorating extravaganza.
It began with an exciting snag by Tyler. He apparently needed the green dye, which ended up on Fuller, the table, and the floor. Good thing we were on the patio!
Debora, my mother-in-law
Fuller's car. It took 2nd place.
Debora's Hindenburg, Melanie's Tigger (which took third place)
Bob's duck with the duck call
This was mine. It's a bowler. I got first place! woohoo!!!
This is Sterling's fisherman.
Those blobs are fish. They are in blue jello. He got honorable mention.
Here's an up-close view of one of the fish.

What a fun family tradition to decorate Easter eggs. I LOVE the bowler! (Sterling's fisherman was pretty good too!)
