Day 3

Day three we set out to rent a car to drive through Tuscany, but as we had not reserved one ahead of time, we had no such luck. Instead we decided to head to the Vatican museums and to the Sistine Chapel. We had purchased a tripod so that we could take good pictures (as we figured flashes would not be allowed). When we tried to use our tripod we realized we didn't have the piece that attached the camera to the tripod. Luckily there are tons of guys walking around the streets selling tripods! So, we purchased another one. We got to the museums and we got out our tripod to take really nice pictures and.....a man in a suit with a walky-talky told us to put it away; they are not allowed. So we used eachother as tripods....which worked part of the time. Then in the Sistine Chapel you are not allowed to use your camera at all....or should I say supposed to. =) The whole thing was pretty amazing; the details and talent are incredible. Then at sunset we went to Pincioni Park, which is a lookout over Rome. It was pretty awesome! There really isn't another way to describe it. After the sun set we went over to the spanish steps where Sterling got some kid to lend him his guitar, and he played the guitar and sang to me. =) We topped our day off with a little (or a lot of) gelato and went to the hotel for some rest!
